The Inn at Cape Kiwanda is pet friendly and we’re just crazy about dogs! Pets can lounge at the Inn, Cottages or Shorepine for a minimal fee and they will be pampered with pet towels, fleece pet blankets and healthy treats. They will bark in appreciation of all the special attention they receive.
Here are a few of the Inn at Cape Kiwanda “Pet Rules” we all like to follow:
Let your owner know there is a doggie station (with a mutt-mitt dispenser) at the north end of the parking lot. Please dispose of the used mutt-mitts in the trash receptacle attached to the doggie station.
You won’t want to stay in your guestroom all alone, it’s dull! Even the best of us might be tempted to nibble on the furnishings a little or howl a lot. Ask to tag along with your family if they leave the Inn, there’s so much to see and sniff out.
If you’re a comfort hound and like to lounge about on the bed (my people don’t like it, but I can usually manage a little nap there), ask your people to use the pet towel or blanket that is given to you by the Front Desk. There is no charge for it and it’ll save your master that extra cleaning fee for the bedspread. That’s a lot of dog biscuit money!
When you take your people for a walk about the grounds or down to the beach, ask them to hang on to your leash tightly. It keeps them from straying and lets other pets know you’ve got everything under control. They’ll be very glad that you do. If you need to get the sand out of your fur, there is a warm water pet wash area located on the northeast side of the Inn under the covered parking.
Oh, yeah … if they forgot your dog dish and try to feed you from the ice bucket, tell them there are dog dishes available at the front desk.
We hope you have a nice visit with us, and if I see you out on a walk, I’ll wag hello!
