Cape Kiwanda Beach Etiquette & Safety

Cape Kiwanda Beach Etiquette & Safety

As the busy summer season approaches and we welcome larger numbers of visitors to Your Little Beach Town, we'd like to take a moment to share some pointers:

Be aware of the tides – don’t get stranded on the rocks or a secluded piece of beach by incoming tides.

Sneaker waves – they do happen. Be alert and don’t turn your back to the ocean.

Spring Whale Watching Week March 23 - 30, 2013

Did you know that Gray Whales' annual migration is 12,000 miles, a longer distance than any other mammal on earth? In late December, Gray Whales travel south along the Oregon Coast to the warm, calm bays of Mexico to give birth to their young. They return north in the spring and spend the summer feeding in the Bering and Chukchi Seas, storing enough food to sustain them for the rest of the year.

Pelican's Tillamook Production Brewery Gets A Kickstart

We need a bigger brewery so we can provide more beer to more people!

We are absolutely thrilled that we have so many fans out there; however, there are lots of people who keep asking why they can't get our beer where they live. It's not that they don't want to drive to the beach all the time (who doesn't?), but hey, it would be nice to just pick it up at the grocery store, wouldn't it?
