I finally come to terms with the fact that summer is over. Here on the Coast, I’ve grown accustomed to hanging on to the hope that there will still be a few more days of warmth and sunshine this year. Our summers cruise right through the end of October; now that we’re well into the latter half of November, and little cartoon snowflakes are appearing in our weather forecasts, I am ready to bid summer adieu. Welcome, winter.
