Description of the position:
As the Director of Housekeeping your day will include: Being responsible for directing the efforts of the entire housekeeping team; creating a positive work environment by maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity; hiring, coaching and developing the housekeeping staff; ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and service standards are achieved; inspecting, identifying and reporting maintenance related problems; maintaining policies, standards and procedures, participate in daily operations including cleaning and inspecting of units; manage inventory of individual units and back stock.
Specific Position Requirements:
An interest is providing excellent guest services; excellent communication skills; energy and self-motivation; excellent record keeping; ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed; 5 years of Housekeeping and 2+ years Superviosry experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks, have a sense of urgency to complete projects and be detail oriented; ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required; valid driver's license; ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds and be on feet for periods of 8 hours or longer.
Part time, Permanent Position, Pay DOE
Description of the position:
This is a fun, flexible summer position. We are looking for motivated, hardworking individuals that want to work part time, typically from 9 or 10am until mid afternoon. The Housekeepers work as part of a team cleaning rooms at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda, Cottages at Cape Kiwanda and vacation homes at Shorepine Vacation Rentals in Pacific City. Housekeepers are responsible for the consistent cleaning of rooms in a timely manner, following procedures, using the correct supplies and stocking the housekeeping carts with supplies on a daily basis. The Housekeepers assist with other duties in the Houseman Department and on occasion assist with light-duty maintenance duties. We are looking for those capable of working together with co-workers as a team in order to efficiently get the job done.
Specific Position Requirements:
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds and be on feet for periods of 8 hours or longer.
