Reservations are subject to a 1.8% State Lodging Tax, and a 10% County Lodging Tax.
Final payment of is due by credit card the day of your arrival, as well as a $500 security authorization to cover any incidental charges which will be held on a credit card and released after check-out.
A deposit of one night is required for all bookings and will be charged to your credit card upon submitting your reservation. The remaining balance is due upon check in, we will require a credit card with matching ID, at which time we will also place a hold on your credit card for the security deposit ($500). If you need to use another credit card for the remaining balance and security deposit, please call the Concierge (503-965-7920).
A $500.00 refundable security authorization will be held on your credit card the day of your scheduled arrival. Any damage to the Cottage or its furnishings or equipment is your responsibility (over and above normal use). If damage occurs or an item is missing, the repair/replacement cost will be deducted from your security deposit without notice.
You must be at least 18 years of age to rent a Cottage.
There is a 7-day cancellation policy for the Cottages. If you notify us at least 7 days prior to arrival that your plans have changed, your deposit will be fully refunded. If a cancellation occurs within 7 days of arrival, the reservation deposit will be forfeited.
The Cottages at Cape Kiwanda do have specific dog-friendly units that are available for rent. If you are bringing a dog, you must reserve a dog friendly Cottage at the time of reservation. If evidence of a dog is found in a Cottage that is not dog-friendly, a $1000 penalty will be assessed. We do not allow dogs to be left in vehicles and require all dogs left in the Cottages alone be crated while you are away from your Cottage, and kept on a leash at all times when outside of your Cottage.
Please note The Cottages at Cape Kiwanda are smoke-free, but smoking is permitted in the parking area. A penalty of $1000 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the Cottages or on the balcony/patio or within 10 feet of any doorway during your stay.There is no smoking allowed in your cottage, on the balconies, patios, or corridors. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, marijuana, and any other smoke or vapor delivery device.
Check-in is at 5:00pm and check-out is 11:00am at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda, across the street from the Cottages property. Services are available 24 hours per day. Pre-arrival services such as grocery shopping, special request facilitation and day planning are offered through the Concierge Desk.
Each Cottage has a maximum occupancy. No more than the maximum number of people (including children age 5 and over) is allowed in your Cottage at any time. Refer to your Cottage type for the maximum occupancy. 2 bedrooms sleep 4, 3 bedrooms & 3 bedroom grands sleep 6.
Parking is limited and one designated parking space is available per unit. Parking spaces accommodate standard-sized vehicles only. If bringing additional or oversized vehicles, please contact the Concierge to make arrangements. RVs and trailers are not permitted.
The Cottages at Cape Kiwanda shall not be liable for uncontrollable events that may interfere with your occupancy, including but not limited to Acts of God, extreme adverse weather, flooding, fires or the like. No rebate or relocation will be offered in these circumstances.
Any loud or disturbing activities, such as loud music or late night entertaining are prohibited. Hours of quiet are 10:00pm until 8:00am.
